Thanks to BFI, Pyramid presents a range of cinema for all tastes including The Man With A Movie Camera (1929) on Friday 15 May; The Big Lebowski (1998) on Friday 19 June; The Sound of Music (1965) on Friday 17 July and Dark Days (2001) on Friday 17 July. All tickets are £5.
May ends on Sunday 31 May with Vienna Festival Ballet – 25th Anniversary Gala at Parr Hall, presenting the very best of ballet in one unforgettable afternoon where audiences can expect highlights from Swan Lake, The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty. But there’s still time to book for Al Murray on Thursday 14 May, Sing-A-Long A Frozen on Saturday 23 May and Billy Ocean on Friday 29 May – tickets are selling fast.
Into June, there’s a range of contrasting music for all music fans – 70s Disco at Parr Hall on Friday 5 June sees live DJs and original vinyl getting you in the mood to boogie the night away to 70s disco sounds of Barry White, Tavares, Billy Ocean, Edwin Starr, Chairman of the Board, Detroit Spinners, Donna Summer, Three Degrees, Chic, Kool & The Gang, Shalimar, Sister Sledge and many more.
On Saturday 6 June, Pyramid plays host to From the Saw Doctors – Leo & Anto in an intimate two-hour acoustic show, featuring stripped back unplugged versions of The Saw Doctor’s hits such as Red Cortina, Clare Islan’ and Same Oul’ Town.
Stiff Little Fingers appear at Parr Hall on Thursday 11 June 2015. Formed in 1977 in Belfast, Stiff Little Fingers were at the forefront of the punk movement with the likes of The Clash, Sex Pistols and The Jam. Hits include Alternative Ulster and Suspect Device. Their most recent album No Going Back reached #1 in the UK Rock Album Chart.
More music follows on Sunday 12 July with Black Grape – It’s Great When You’re Straight…Yeah! at Parr Hall reuniting Sean Ryder (Happy Mondays) and Kermit (Ruthless Rap Assassins) and playing a gig at Parr Hall in the 21st anniversary of the seminal album It’s Great When You’re Straight…Yeah!

Looking forward to the autumn, September sees Simon Weston – My Life, My Story at Pyramid on Sunday 6 September in an event which tells the story of one man’s journey from the front line in the Falkland Islands, to being on the edge of death, to becoming a contented father, grandfather and national figure. Thoroughly Modern Musicals at Parr Hall on Sunday 27 September features some of the biggest musicals from the West End and Broadway with sons from Les Misérables, Miss Saigon, Mamma Mia and Grease to name a few.
Into October and there’s Nina Conti – In Your Face at Parr Hall on Friday 2 October. She’s won a British Comedy Award, stormed Live at the Palladium, and made a BAFTA nominated film – all without moving her lips. Timesis Theatre – That’s Amoré will be at Pyramid on Thursday 8 October presenting a fast-paced, funny, highly visual physical theatre show about the thrills and dangers of surrendering ourselves to romance. Don’t miss the curtain raiser at 7.30pm.

Ben Fogle – Call Of The Wild will be at Parr Hall on Thursday 22 October. BBC 1’s Castaway 2000’s Ben Fogle has gone on to carve a broadcasting career championing wildlife, the world’s wildernesses and the British countryside. Hear about some of his adventures. Colin Cloud – Forensic Mind Reader appears atPyramid on Friday 23 October and he promises to mix mind, magic and brain science.
